Jade Kake

Jade Kake (Ngāpuhi, Ngāti Whakaue, Te Whakatōhea), is a force for change and visionary creator, navigating worlds as an architectural trailblazer and urban wizard. Her quest spans decolonization, reviving papakāinga/kāinga, and infusing urban landscapes with kaupapa Māori design. She champions indigenous space while tackling Māori housing challenges, pouring heart and soul into Matakohe Architecture and Urbanism. This Māori design haven spreads its wings across Whangārei and Tāmaki Makaurau. Not content with just blueprints, she educates at Huri Te Ao, shaping future environments. Her latest escapade? Co-authoring Rewi, a vibrant homage to the esteemed architect Rewi Thompson.
