Pt Tejendra Narayan Majumdar & Ambi Subramaniam

India

One of the most celebrated sarod players of our time, Pt Tejendra Narayan Majumdar is joined by Dr Ambi Subramaniam, the “new king of Indian violin” (Times of India). Majumdar’s brilliance as a classical artist is legendary in India; his music comes from a place of intellectual density and technical virtuosity, but he carries audiences with him on his musical journey. Subramaniam is a violinist, composer and educator who has been enthralling audiences worldwide since he began performing at the age of seven. They will perform with revered percussionists Tanmoy Bose, who has accompanied the likes of Ravi Shankar, and V V Ramana Murthy, who has performed with some of India’s most esteemed classical musicians and jazz groups for four decades.
